Three colors paint: 53 dollars and 69 cents.

Enough PERGO flooring (in “Whitehall Pine”) to cover a 9 X 12 room: 738 dollars.

Moving your young but well-used drafting table back to it’s proper corner: Priceless.

That’s right, today Yume-chan (the drafting table), was finally moved back into my room after some three weeks. Having been in my Dad’s room (under a pile of stuff) while my room/studio was being painted, it’s back in the corner by the window, electrical cords spilling all over the floor by it.

Smells like vict’ry. All is (more or less) right with the world.

Two things I will talk about today - first, the wonderfull life of a snake hobbyist during hatching season and second, Otakon! Yay for wierdness!

On snakes.. I'm not sure if anyones realized it yet, but I am an avid snake owner and breeder. With 8 permanent snakes, 8 hatchlings to be sold, and more posibly to come from the reptile show in a couple of weeks, people might think I'm a bit nuts. I don't care, however, because I'd only confirm it. To tell the truth, hatching season is both a inducer of stress and a stress reliever, however that works. I get worried over eggs not making it, how the babies are doing inside them, what colors I'll get, is the temperature right, is the humidity to high or to low, ect.. And yet, after two months of that torture, hatching day arrives and I see a kawaii little nose poking out at me from an egg, flicking its tongue out and wondering if I'm going to eat it. Aaaah! its absolutely wonderfull! Knowing that all that time and effort paid off and you have a good healthy hatchling. Of course, after that the real work begins, but its still a wonderfull thing.

Now for subject number two, and far more relevant then my slithery rant above, is my talk of upcoming otakon! Haha, ph34r my L33^ comic pimping skillz, for I shall attack con goers and force pencils and flyers on their unsuspecting mortal lives! And before you ask, yes I'm rabid, and no thats not whipping cream thats making me foam at the mouth. I think I'm going to stalk people while there, and my friends ph34r me when I'm in stalking mode. But most importantly, I must meet Fred and the rest of MT's crew! And this might be the last time I get to party with friends before I have to move across country, so I need to make it count. All in all, this is going to be one fun gig. To all who are going, see you there. To those who are not, we'll be thinking about how much more fun it would be if you'd been there too. Untill we meet again, yo =D
